Is registry start up protection important?

Why is this important what does it do?

I am in the middle of trying to pick out an internet protection, I have narrowed it down to . Bitdefender Anti-virus, Internet Security, and Total Security 2008 or Kaspersky Antivirus and Internet Security v. 7.0

the difference in the 2 is one has registry start up protection and the other doesn't. And the one that doesn't have web mail protection instead.

I difinitly want the full protection and web scanning, not interested in the free stuff only these 2 products. I currently have Norton 360 and it is an ok program but I want something better.

Kaspersky if your going to use it turn your speakers down, Scares the life outta ya. But go download the Free AVG Ive used the majority of Av's on-line and the free one seems to be the best one, alot a big buisnesses use the free AVG one because it saves money and it is updated every time u log on and dosent take long with other AVs.

Norton is horrable and the other two paid ones dont compare to AVG. But if you want the lot, Firewall, AV, Spyware etc go looking for Panda Platinum.
mail not important unless you use outlook express as for registry protection thats not necessary. In my opinion all paid software a ripoff while you can get the freebies which are way better... If the price is the same for registry protection get it if it cost more get the other one
