For everyone that knows a lot about laptops, or even just a little, please help me out!?

Ok, here's the dealio:

For my graduation present into high-school my parents are getting me a laptop, considering one cannot survive high-school without one.

So, naturally, im look for some suggestions on a laptop I could get. I should point out that I have had a Mac for ALL my life and in junior high and im not loving them. Sure they're easy to use but you can't DO anything on them!!

It must:

~ not a Mac (unless you think i should really get one)

~ come with a word processer or be able to install one

~ be reliable

~ be fast

~ be inexpensive (but not a hunk of junk)

~ have anti-virus protection

~ have wireless capabilities

It would be cool if it:

~ came in different colors to choose from

~ was "made in japan"

~ was not a vista (unless you think i should really get one)

I'm not sure what exact computer you should get, but IBM computers, Vizio computers, and Dell computers would be the best. :)
