LimeWire connect problem?

Right well I can't connect to LimeWire for some strange reason and i don't know what it is. I have always been able to connect in the past up until now. I have not installed any new software to make this happen. I have Zone Alarm as a firewall and AVG as anti virus protection, these have never been a problem before, even so i still turned them off and it still doesn't work. Also Windows firewall is turned off, yet LimeWire says a firewall is detected with them all off.

Please help!

Try disconnecting from the Limewire service, temporarily disconnect from the internet and reconnect the internet. Then reconnect to Limewire.

If this doesnt work, go to the Limewire website (www.limewire.com) and download the latest version

Send me an email if you want LimeWire PRO 4.12.6.

I never upgraded after that, I could see they were headed to ****.
have you ever tried to reboot your system? like restarting your computer?

try to uninstall / reinstall limewire
It's a problem with one of the files in the limewire application pack.

In XP: enable viewing of hidden and system files go to the Tools

menu in Explorer, then Folder Options, and in the View tab set it to show hidden files and folders and system files.

Once you've changed those setting you can find the

folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\LimeWire"

Vista users: C:\Users\name you use to login\AppData\Roaming\Limewire

Make sure limewire is fully closed before the next step...

In limewire delete the gnutella.net file and replace it with a new one.

You can download it here

Let me know if it works for you...did for me!!
