My mccaffee virus program will not install?

I did a system restore, so it deleted my anti virus program, which happens to be mccaffee (the "greatest product in the world") and i put in the CD rom and tried to reinstall it. when that didn't work, i went online and tried doing it online. it always fails when it is trying to download the security center, it stops and puts an x next to it and other programs like anti spyware.

i have an HP computer and windows XP.

my virus program is total protection.

macafee is out of date my dear.i hv the total protection.it's no worth just slowing down my pc.Kaparsky is the best now.
Try this out.

Mccaffee's alright but you'd i wouldn't take it as a big loss... download avast or AVG, i use AVG and have never had an infection. remember depending on what sites you goto you're more (or less) likely to get a virus so as long as you stay away from those typa sites (usually the naughty ones) then you should be fine with AVG or Avast, both free.
In my opinion mcfee is horrible, its slows down your pc badly. Instead download this, its amazing great and powerful and its free! google AVG Anti Virus, its great!
