Has anyone tried Windows Live OneCare & Windows Defender? Would you recommend it? Why or Why not

Microsoft is currently offering both which provides a firewall, along with an anti-virus and anti-spyware protection? Is it anygood? I currently use Norton and Spyweeper(sometimes avg), and I'm thinking of switching.

Windows defender being a free product is good. I am using it for about ten days and no problems. It is easily removing spyware. Over all i recommend u to use Defender. Windows Live OneCare i installed about three days ago. You won'y need defender if you install windows live onecare. However it is a 90 day trail. You will have to buy after that. Windows live oncare is faster than Norton. And has a very simple interface. As i am using windows live onecare i am getting addicted to it. Plz try both of them.

This is a link to the free site, which is maybe better, try it, I let it run all night and it does keep my system in good shape
I suggest you insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
