NAV or avg free?

hello everyone, i had a question about the virus program im using right now. i was originally using symantec Norton anti virus corporate edition (not sure which version it is, but i think it from around 2003) , but i noticed that every 6 months or so i would get a virus, which would be quarantined but never removed, so i would have to reformat to get rid of it.. also i noticed when i loaded it every test i would run would have a scan omission error, and all the fixes i tried from the company never fixed the error. so i decided to try avg free as my virus protection this time around. my question is, will the avg free provide enough protection for my system (i also run spybot search and destroy for ad/spyware) or should i go back to the NAV and try to get it to work.

NAV or avg free?free spyware

Why pay for NAV when you can use either AVG or Avast for free. They protect the PC just as well or probably better than the NAV or McAfee.

Also, it doesn't hurt to have any spyware/malware utility installed to protect your system.

Also, if you have broadband Internet from providers such as Cox, or Comcast, check their website or call. They provide anti virus applications to their customers for free.

NAV or avg free?live update

Never try Norton Antivirus, it's a system hog, slows down everything. AVG is a good choice, however there are many better and free antivirus than AVG, see it here:

Hope it helps!
Christos, don't PAY for Norton Use Avast! and a good firewall, like Comodo. Norton should pay YOU for the protection they give....
