Help with Windows Security Center?

Whenever I start up my computer, a little balloon pops up on the taskbar on the bottom right corner of the desktop. It is a Windows Security Alert and says that my computer may be in risk and that I have no virus scan protection.

When I click on the balloon it says in the Windows Security Center under Virus Protection that "%1 reports that it is turned off. etc."

It says that it may not detect all anti virus programs but I have McAfee Security so I do not see why it would not detect it. Is this something I should worry about?
