Well i bought my computer(windows xp) about 4 years ago and it has slowed down to the point where id rather not even turn it on. i frequently defrag, clean up, fix registery, scan for anti-virus and spyware but ive had little success. It has a really slow response time. I know for a fact my computer has suffured from attacks from virus for at least a year before i got protection against it. Im fighting a losing battle because even though i bought some good software for it, it cant fully fix all the damage that has been delt. I have heard that reformatting a computer deletes all programs?
1)Do the programs that come with the computer also get deleted after the reformatting?
2) I dont have a windows cd, but where can i get one.
3)What does the Windows Cd actually do
4) When you say back up files that i want does that mean all the files that were on my computer or only the ones i really want.
5) Is reformatting hard?
6) can my computer be saved
Reformatting Computer?free adware remover
Yes, your computer can be saved, a Windows Cd just has the installation for windows. It reinstalls the operation system which actually formats the computer. What will happen without a cd is that the computer won't have an operation system. Though I think that if you format a specific drive it will work.
Well, to backup the files, if you have an xp or vista. They have backup tools. Just search in the help or support backup and you would be able to open the tool from there. It just brings you an archived file with everything. Then after formatting you can open it through the same tool. Yes, if you format it means deleting all softwares. You can buy a windows cd. Though not in recent stores. Microsoft stopped bringing xp cds, only vista. Though maybe you can get one on ebay.
